Deirdre joins the 2017/ 18 articling class after summering at BD&P in 2015. She earned her law degree from the University of Alberta, where she was awarded the Merv Leitch QC Leadership Scholarship in Law. During law school, Deirdre served as Captain of the Women's Law Rugby Team, Co-President of the Law and Business Association, and was a member of the Articling Committee. She also worked in the Law Faculty Library and Communications Department. In 2016, Deirdre competed in the Bennett Jones Health Law Moot, and completed her final semester abroad in New Zealand. Before attending law school, Deirdre earned her undergraduate and master's degrees in English literature and French at the University of Western Ontario. While at Western, Deirdre worked as an Emergency Medical Responder and completed an exchange in France. Outside of work, she enjoys rugby, boxing, reading, and travelling.
