Claudia Honetschlaeger

Claudia earned her law degree from the University of Calgary. While at law school, she was involved with the law school paper, The Moot Times as Vice President of Fundraising and Sponsorship, as a caseworker with Student Legal Assistance, and as an event photographer with the Environmental Law Society. Claudia summered with BD&P in 2018, and in 2019, she worked for a midstream oil and gas company in Calgary. In her final year of law school, Claudia spent a semester at the University of Graz in Graz, Austria.

Before law school, Claudia graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Biology, with a focus on Biochemistry, from the University of Calgary. After that, she completed an Immigration Consultant program through Humber College in Ontario. From 2011 to 2017, Claudia worked as an Immigration Consultant specializing in Corporate Immigration for a boutique firm in Calgary. Outside of work, Claudia volunteers with the Calgary Women's Emergency Shelter as a Sponsorship Coordinator, where she assists with annual fundraising efforts in support of the shelter's annual Turning Points Gala.

In her free time, Claudia enjoys traveling and spending time outside hiking, downhill skiing, cycling, and floating the river. She also enjoys playing recreational beach volleyball and has been on a team since 2015.
