Robyn returns to BD&P after summering with the firm in 2016 and earning her law degree from the University of Victoria. Originally from Calgary, Robyn is thrilled to be home. In law school, Robyn won the Ylaw Best Lawyering Award and the J.S.D. Tory Prize for Advocacy. She was a national champion at the Canadian Client Consultation Competition, which earned her team a spot at the International Client Consultation Competition in Canterbury, England. Robyn served on the University of Victoria Law Students’ Society as Vice-President of Communications, and was a student representative on the Faculty of Law’s Admissions Committee. During her last semester of law school, Robyn participated in the Law Centre Clinical Program, and tried her hand at criminal defence work. Outside of school, she was captain of the UVic Law Women’s rugby team, and was vice-president of the Outdoors Club. In her summer away from the firm, Robyn worked as a forest firefighter based out of Nelson, BC.
Before law school, Robyn earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University in Global Development Studies and Philosophy. While at Queen’s, she was a member of the varsity rowing team; and completed an internship with the United Nations HIV/AIDS Project in Geneva, Switzerland.
Robyn loves the mountains, running, cycling, skiing, and mountain biking. She is an avid photographer; and enjoys houseplants, Calgary's restaurant scene, and The Office.
