Brian's focus is on corporate law, M&A, technology and intellectual property, including:
- Advising public and private corporations on cross-border and domestic merger and acquisition and financing transactions
- Counsel to software and technology developers and service providers concerning product development, marketing and distribution
- Advising senior pipeline and oil and gas joint ventures concerning international development, implementations and marketing of mission-critical technology
- Advisor to corporations, including technology businesses, regarding cross-border and domestic product development and marketing
- Counsel to international oil and gas marketing firms
Community involvement
Brian is a member of the Habitat for Humanity Calgary Board of Directors.

Brian is a registered Canadian Trademark Agent. He is also a member of BD&P's Technology Committee and the former chairman of the CBA Business Law Subsection (1989-1990).
