The band’s getting back together! Ten-time Latin Grammy winner Javier Limón has reassembled the original musicians that toured with legendary flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucia during the last 10 years of his career. They reunite for a show that celebrates de Lucia’s immense skills, while forging a new path in the future of flamenco.

Paco de Lucia was considered by many to be Spain’s greatest musical export, having performed and recorded with musical legends like Eric Clapton, Chick Corea, and Carlos Santana. Over five decades, de Lucia is credited with single-handedly reinventing the flamenco vocabulary. Producer Javier Limón, a collaborator of de Lucia’s, lovingly crafted this tribute to honour his friend. The band also features de Lucia’s nephew, Antonio Sánchez, on guitar.

“It seemed then that Paco de Lucía was reborn in our midst; that the second of his two lives had come to pass. Now we all seemed to feel, Paco de Lucía was truly ours. He belonged to us. The applause was deafening. ” – Latin Jazznet

La Santa Cecilia - Postponed until further notice

Named after the patron saint of music, La Santa Cecilia’s bold musical direction more than earns the moniker. A modern-day hybrid of Latin culture, rock, and world music, the band draws inspiration from all over the world, including jazz, tango, bossa-nova, and klezmer music. Based out of Los Angeles, they have become the voice of America’s young, bi-cultural generation.

Leaning into their Latin American and Mexican heritage, the group won a Grammy for Best Latin Rock album in 2014 and have earned nominations for their last two albums. With songs focusing on love, loss, and heartbreak, they’ve cut tracks in a mixture of English and Spanish.
