Ashley Weldon receives prestigious Lexpert Rising Star Award

We are delighted to extend our congratulations to Partner Ashley Weldon who has been selected as one of Lexpert’s Rising Stars of 2018, an award that recognizes Leading Canadian Lawyers under 40. Ashley accepted the award on November 8th during a presentation ceremony at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto.

The accolade honours Canadian lawyers who have an outstanding track record of success in their field, added value to their firm by providing exceptional client service, possess a strong business acumen and have demonstrated the ability to advise on complex legal issues.

Ashley is a Partner in our Energy Group and provides legal guidance to clients on an array of corporate matters including acquisitions, mergers and divestures in the oil and gas sector, providing advice on joint venture arrangements and other business structures, as well as negotiating commercial agreements for upstream and midstream oil and gas matters.

Outside of the office, Ashley is also a Director of the Canadian Energy Law Foundation (CELF) and the Petroleum Joint Venture Association (PJVA), as well as a Course Instructor for the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen (CAPL).
