Your principal supervises your progress as an articling student, but you also have the benefit of teaming up with an associate or partner as your mentor. Your mentor will help you navigate all areas of practice development and management, and will ensure you receive a diverse range of work experience and client exposure.
Professional development
Our legal talent team oversees the development of all BD&P students. They coordinate our structured educational programs and serve as a sounding board, so you can get extra support when you need it.
Informal and formal feedback
You can’t improve and grow without constructive feedback. You’ll get informal feedback throughout the year on all aspects of your work. And scheduled formal reviews will make sure you understand how you’re progressing.
Time for fun
There’s more to life than work. Take part in firm-sponsored community activities. Join the BD&P cycling club or BD&P hockey team, or watch a show at the Vertigo Theatre. We also hold lots of optional group activities like ski trips, golf tournaments, dinners, and more.
