Summer student
Carson grew up in Beaumont, a small town outside of Edmonton, where he developed a passion for hockey and became a lifelong fan of the Edmonton Oilers. He played competitive hockey throughout his youth, including at the junior level, before transitioning into coaching. Carson spent summers coaching hockey camps and winters coaching minor hockey teams in his hometown.
Carson completed a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with Distinction at the University of Alberta in 2025 and has recently completed his first year of law school at the University of Alberta. He is also actively involved in student organizations, serving with the Tortfeasors Hockey Club, the University of Alberta Law School hockey team, where he will act as an executive for the next two years, and as a member of the University of Alberta Sports Law Association.
In addition, Carson volunteered with Student Legal Services of Edmonton, where he assisted individuals who were unable to access legal services by connecting them with appropriate community resources and supporting them through early-stage criminal proceedings.
Outside of academics, Carson enjoys running, working out, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family. An avid runner, he completed his first marathon in 2025 and plans to run two additional marathons this summer.
