Experience
Denisa recently clerked at the Alberta Court of Appeal for the Honourable Justice Kevin Feth. She rejoins BD&P after summering with the firm in 2022.
Denisa received her law degree from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law in 2024. During law school, she was a student caseworker at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic (criminal division) and summered with the Ottawa Criminal Duty Counsel office of Legal Aid Ontario. In both roles, she gained court experience by representing various low-income clients before the Ontario Court of Justice. She was also a research assistant.
Before law, Denisa studied philosophy with a focus on early modern and ancient thinkers. For the duration of her studies from 2018 to 2024, she also served as a medical assistant in the Canadian Armed Forces (Primary Reserves).
Denisa is otherwise a lover of adventure, art, and literature. She enjoys spontaneous travelling, spending time in nature, reading books that make her think, and spending time with her loved ones. Whenever she has a moment, she also writes stories of her own.
