Experience

Originally from Winnipeg, Jaclyn completed her undergraduate and graduate studies in Alberta and Québec, respectively, before beginning her professional career in Edmonton. She holds a Master of Public Policy from McGill University and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and History from the University of Calgary. Jaclyn is currently a law student at the University of Manitoba and is excited to begin her legal career in Calgary.

Prior to attending law school, Jaclyn worked with the Government of Alberta, Ministry of Energy and Minerals, from 2022 to 2025, most recently serving as a Senior Policy Analyst. During her time with the Ministry, she worked on a number of significant policy initiatives, including the initial development of Alberta’s nuclear regulatory framework and a review of metallic and industrial mineral royalties. Jaclyn also served with the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve from 2017 to 2025, first as a Naval Warfare Officer and later as a Port Inspection Diver.

In her first year of law school, Jaclyn volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, where she provided public legal education regarding Manitoba’s Children’s Special Allowance Class Action Settlement. Outside of academics and work, she enjoys staying active outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
