Experience

Tristan is a summer student at BD&P. He is entering into his third year of the combined Juris Doctor and Master of Public Policy program at the University of Calgary. During the school year Tristan volunteers with Pro Bono Students Canada as a project leader for the Consent Project, educating junior high and high-school students about consent, sexual violence, and the criminal code.

Prior to attending law school, Tristan enjoyed a career in government relations, public policy, and strategic communications, first as the Executive Director of a non-profit advocacy association in Halifax, and then as a Consultant in Calgary. Throughout his undergraduate degree in political science at the University of Calgary, Tristan was heavily engaged on campus, serving in leadership roles for numerous clubs and as the Vice President External of the Students' Union.

Born in Ottawa but raised in Calgary, on summer weekends you can usually find Tristan with his friends on a brewery patio or spending time with his parents in British Columbia. In his spare time, Tristan is keen on travelling, reading fantasy and science fiction novels, making cocktails, and attempting to stay fit at the gym.
