Alex completed his law degree at the University of Ottawa. He returns to BD&P after working at the firm as a summer student during his 2L summer. During law school, Alex worked with the Legal Writing Academy where he helped teach first-year law students legal writing techniques and strategies. In his final year of law school, Alex completed a semester abroad at the University of Mannheim in Mannheim, Germany.
Alex is originally from the small town of Kincardine, Ontario. Prior to law school, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Public Policy at the University of Guelph where he received a Dean's Undergraduate Scholarship. He continued his education at the University of Guelph and earned a Master's degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice Policy in 2016. Alex received multiple scholarships while completing his graduate degree, including an Ontario Graduate Scholarship. After completing his Master's, Alex worked for the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General as a Court and Client Representative.
In his free time, Alex likes to take advantage of Alberta's natural beauty. He enjoys hiking, cycling, hockey, and hanging out with his dog, Fig.
