Katy Josephs

Katy earned her law degree from the University of Calgary. During her time in law school she co-ran and participated in the Pro Bono Students Canada Elementary Mock Trial Project and played on the University of Calgary Faculty of Law hockey team. In her second year Katy was selected as one of 32 recipients across North America of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation Scholarship.

Before entering law school Katy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus in Construction Project Management from the University of Wisconsin. While at Wisconsin she played NCAA Division 1 hockey and attended the Frozen Four NCAA Championships three of four years. She was also named a Big 10 and WCHA Scholar Athlete and participated in numerous volunteer outreach projects. These included coaching the Timberwolves hockey team for children with disabilities and organizing the annual Toys for Tots fundraiser event.

In her free time Katy enjoys playing music with her brothers in their family band, hiking, cross-country skiing, and seeking out live music around Calgary.
