Experience

Building on his experiences at both BD&P and in-house, Cole joins the firm as an articling student after summering with BD&P in 2024 and working as a legal student with mid-sized upstream oil and gas companies in Calgary during the 2025-2026 academic year.

Cole earned his law degree from the University of Calgary. During law school, he participated in the Pro Bono Students Canada Elementary School Mock Trial Project, helping Calgary elementary school students learn about court proceedings and the justice system. Prior to attending law school, Cole obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Simon Fraser University.

Outside of work, Cole enjoys staying active through lacrosse, weightlifting, and running. Having played competitive lacrosse for 18 years, he remains passionate about the sport. He also enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.

Community Involvement:

Cole volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada through the Elementary School Mock Trial Project, helping educate Calgary elementary school students about court proceedings and the Canadian justice system.
